Account eligibility and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Contact info@dentalworld.ca promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.
Educational purpose
Dental World is an independent educational platform. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Dental Examining Board of Canada. Content is provided for study and general educational purposes and is not dental, medical, legal or professional advice. Using Dental World does not guarantee examination eligibility, a particular score, success or professional licensure.
Subscriptions and automatic renewal
Paid plans are billed in Canadian dollars at the price and billing interval shown before checkout, plus applicable taxes. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You authorize the payment provider to charge the payment method associated with your subscription for each renewal.
Cancellation
You may cancel a monthly or annual subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewal charges. Paid access continues until the end of the billing period that has already been paid, unless access is ended earlier as part of an approved refund or because of a serious breach of these terms.
Refunds
Refund requests are governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy. The policy includes a seven-day request period, a 10% maximum content-usage condition and a 10% cancellation fee with a minimum fee of CAD $10. These contractual terms do not limit any cancellation, refund or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable consumer protection law.
Acceptable use
You may use Dental World for your own personal study. You may not share an account, scrape or systematically download content, copy or redistribute questions or slides, bypass access controls, probe the platform for vulnerabilities, upload harmful code, interfere with other users or use the service in an unlawful way.
Content ownership
Dental World and its licensors retain their rights in the platform, questions, explanations, study materials, design and branding. Your subscription gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the available content during your access period. It does not transfer ownership or permit republication.
Your notes and account content
You retain ownership of notes and other original content you enter. You give Dental World permission to store and process that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and meet legal obligations.
Service changes and availability
We may improve, replace or remove features and educational content. We work to keep Dental World available, but uninterrupted or error-free service cannot be guaranteed. Material subscription changes will be communicated where required by law.
Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, payment failure, security threats, unlawful conduct, content theft or a serious breach of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time. Sections that should reasonably survive termination, including ownership, payment obligations and limits of liability, continue to apply.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dental World is provided on an as-available basis without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. Dental World HQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where doing so would be prohibited by law.
Ontario law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. Subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law, disputes will be brought before the courts located in Ontario. Nothing in this section prevents an Ontario consumer from using rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service, pricing or legal requirements change. We will post the revised terms and update the effective date. Where required, we will provide notice before a material change takes effect.
