Researching the NDEB Equivalency Process

A current, official-source-first overview for internationally trained dentists researching the NDEB Equivalency Process.

Who the process is for

The NDEB Equivalency Process is intended for graduates of dental programs that are not recognized by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada. Your education and documents must be assessed through the official application process.

Application and credential verification come first

Begin with the NDEB application instructions and submit the required documents through the official process. Dental World cannot assess eligibility, approve credentials or determine which pathway applies to an individual.

Understand the examination sequence

The AFK is one examination within the Equivalency Process. A passing AFK result is required before a candidate can continue to the other examinations in that process.

Keep an official-source checklist

Record the official page, the date you checked it, each required document and every deadline. Recheck the NDEB website before submitting documents, registering for an examination, paying fees or arranging travel.
